The ‘Undivided Mind’ is the concept of combining the left, logical side of the brain with the emotional and intuitive right side. While we tend to think of these as separate functions, when you combine both hemispheres the incredible can happen.
Gazing at the Carina Nebula through the eyes of the Hubble from a purely scientific, logical lens is fascinating in itself but it’s not until you absorb the visual beauty and majesty of such a natural spectacle do you truly realize how awe-inspiring our Universe is.
The undivided mind is a prototype of human possibility. Without a combination of science and imagination, there would be no trips to the moon, no International Space Station, no exploration of Mars, no Voyager missions. It presents a way forward in the evolutionary process, accelerating discovery and opening our minds to WONDER.

Helmut Lang fall 2001
I think this image is a perfect example of the brillance of Helmut Lang. If this image did not have a date accompanying it you would never know this look is from a runway show that was presented over ten years ago. It’s not that its a classic look, it was a forward and modern look that still holds both of those atributes today without looking the slightest bit dated. The fit and menswear look on a woman with strong sexy overtones to it blow away that current interpretations of this idea. Not only is this on trend for so much of womenswear now, but it is 12 years predating it. Thank god for Helmut Lang.
